Although the shop was closed for most of the past year, behind the scenes a lot of work was done.
We want to thank all our volunteers that assisted in sorting; cleaning and packing all the items we have in the shop and in the storage areas. As well as thank all of these that assisted with fittings and fixtures.
But we have a very special thanks to all the people that donated, because without your support none of what has been done could have been achieved.
The ASMAA charity shop in Portimão is a treasure trove of vintage goodies, clothes and collectables. Shoppers will also find a wide array of quality second hand curtains, linen, kitchen utensils and even small electrical goods, all at affordable prices.
In addition a small section has been allocated to goods made by various artisans, in the shop you’ll also find an interesting selection of fabrics that can be turned into interesting items if creative sewing is one of the things that interests you.
Laurinda Seabra, ASMAA’s CEO says:
“We’ve had a great response from customers since we reopened the store a few weeks ago. They love the way the shop looks and we’ve also had some interesting comments about how good the shop smells.” …
"It’s been a long time coming, it demanded tremendous effort and lots of great teamwork, but the end result is well worth it.
The shop looks fantastic.
Don’t take my word for it, why not pop in and take a look for yourself?”
If you can’t pop in, no problem as we have now launched a door-to-door delivery service for smaller items that we advertise via our Facebook pages or post on this section of the ASMAA website. If you see something you like and would like to buy, we’ll post or courier your selected item directly to you.
The shop is ONLY open on Wednesdays, Friday’s and Saturday’s from 11h30 to 17h00.
