Denúncia de associação ASMAA em fevereiro de 2017 motiva apreensão de documentação na ENMC e na Direção-Geral de Energia.

Last year, the government of Antonio Costa did a major restructuring, and we saw “energy” being taken away from the Ministry of Economy and transferred to the Environment Ministry. The Environment Ministry was then renamed as the Ministry of Environment and Energetic Transition (Ministério do Ambiente e da Transição Energética).

According to information released to a journalist on 4 February, the Galp / ENI concessionaires say that everything has, in fact, been suspended. And they stated that the withdrawal of the contracts from the DGEG website was only a formality that was already scheduled to take place on 31 January.

ASMAA takes this opportunity to inform all those who have been following the anti-oil drilling legal process currently taking place in the Administrative and Fiscal Court of Loulé, that the court hearing, scheduled for 11 February at 2:00 p.m., was canceled by the court yesterday.

Lisbon offices of the ENMC (the entity that authorises oil and gas drilling) and the DGEG (department of energy and geology) were searched earlier this week by PJ criminal police, on the basis of a ‘complaint’ made by Algarve anti-oil campaigners ASMAA.

The Algarve’s leading anti-oil and gas campaigning organisation, ASMAA, this morning presented a detailed legal action at the Attorney General's Office requesting an immediate halt to offshore oil and gas drilling in the Alentejo basin and for the immediate cancellation of the Galp-ENI licence for the Santola exploration block off Aljezur.

In another heroic bid to ensure public opinion is taken on board, ASMAA - the campaigning Algarve civic group fighting plans to turn the coastline into a drilling field - today lodged a 126-page legal bid at the Attorney General’s office, demanding an immediate block on any activity in the Alentejo basin.

A press release dated 4 Feb 2013, issued by Oracle Energy regarding concession award in the Barreiro oil and gas concession in Portugal's southern Lusitanian Basin. What is interesting about this press release is its links to Porto Energy and Mohave Oil & Gas (both closed down), and let's not forget the links to Australis Oil & Gas through some of the previous executive of Mohave et. al.
