This complex process has affected the Association’s bank account, which was with Banif and was transferred to Santander Totta.
Some computer errors, relating to the transfer of the account, were identified about a week ago and the Association's bank account has been put on hold until the matter is rectified. This means that, for the time being, any donations paid to ASMAA's bank account will be bounced back.
Situations like this can happen when one bank takes over another one and tries to interface two or more different computer systems. It is unfortunate that ASMAA is affected and Santander staff are doing all they can, as fast as they can, to rectify this glitch.
We are working closely with bank staff to make sure everything gets back to normal as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can still make donations into ASMAA’s Paypal account, but we ask that you do not attempt to transfer donations directly to ASMAA's bank account until we can confirm that the account is fully active and operating correctly.
