PRESS RELEASE. Lagos, 27 September 2017: ASMAA announced today that the hiccups experienced this month are a thing of the past and the challenges overcome successfully.

We still can’t believe that 5 years has passed. We look back and it feels like it was only yesterday that the idea for the creation of ASMAA happened.

Many people has heard of us over the years, but many do still do not know much about us. In this article we will answer some of the most common questions that we’ve been asked.

ASMAA fights to protect the oceans, coastal zones and beaches against many risks. We work hard to preserve our natural ecosystems (our environment), and the socio-economic sustainability of current and future generations.

ASMAA is the brain child of Laurinda Seabra a Luso-descendent from South Africa that arrived in Portugal late in December 2009. Laurinda, together with other leaders from Empowerment Gateway Universal Foundation, a South African Not for Profit Trust, launched ASMAA in April 2012 after many months of evaluation and assessment on how best address the massive environmental protection needs identified.
